1) Corrugated board: Corrugated board is a paperboard consisting of one or more layers of corrugated sheets of paper glued together on a cardboard box or between several sheets of cardboard.
2) Cardboard: In general, a basis weight of less than 200 g/m2 is considered to be paper, and a basis weight of 200 g/m2 or more is considered to be cardboard. Others call paper with a thickness greater than 0.1 mm.
3) Corrugated paper: Fluting Corrugated board is used to press into the shape of paper, the grammage is generally between 60-200 g/m2. Corrugated paper requires good fiber bonding strength, smooth paper surface, good tightness and stiffness, and requires a certain degree of elasticity to ensure that the finished carton has shock and pressure resistance.
4) Pure Bull Card: Kraft liner (KL), also known as Kraft Liner Board, is made from 100% log paddles. Its breakage resistance, ring pressure, and folding endurance are the best. It is generally used as high-grade corrugated board surface/inside paper.
5) Imitation bovine card/noodles imitation bovine card: Testliner (TL) is also called vermiculite linerboard. The surface layer is raw wood pulp fiber, and the middle and inner layers are made by mixing a small amount of original wood pulp with a large amount of recycled pulp. The strength is slightly lower than that of a pure bovine calorie, but it has become a major raw material for corrugated packaging.
6) Colored top liner: Colored top liner When papermaking, the top liner is dyed. For corrugated carton surface as a decoration.
7) White board: White top liner, which is bleached when the surface layer pulp is papermaking. There are white cattle and noodles white cardboard points. Suitable for printing fine graphics.
8) Yellow cardboard: yellow straw board, also known as grass cardboard, horse manure paper. Fecal yellow, quantitative 120 ~ 400g/m2. Has a certain intensity. The raw material is 100% natural lime straw or wheat straw pulp and waste paper. Mainly used for the production of low-end small and medium-sized cardboard boxes, handout clips, trunk liners, and book covers.
9) Boxboard: Also called boardboard, it is used as the surface layer of corrugated board. The grammage is generally between 120~400g/m2. Has a high degree of ring pressure, folding, breaking and other strength properties and a certain degree of water resistance, while a good printability.
10) Waterproof paperboard: Water resistant The paperboard with waterproof function is generally coated with a waterproof coating on the surface, and some techniques are used for laminating on the middle layer during papermaking.
11) Oil-repellent cardboard: Grease resistant paperboard with oil-repelling function is manufactured by adding fluorochemicals to the interior of the paperboard or processing on the size press or composite coating with polyethylene or water-based paint.
Second, cardboard process terminology
1) Outer Liner: The paper layer on the surface of the corrugated board. Usually the paper on the front is called face paper and the paper inside is called paper.
2) Inside Liner: also known as septum or middle liner, interlayer paper between corrugated paper and corrugated paper, the material is usually imitation cow or corrugated paper, rarely used cattle card.
3) Corrugating medium: The corrugating medium in the corrugating medium is called corrugating medium.
4) Flute Type: Different types of corrugated fiber according to the size specifications of corrugated medium, commonly used are: A, B, C, E, F.
5) Takeup Factor: It is also called yam rate, corrugation extension coefficient and so on. Refers to the ratio of the length of the corrugated paper before and after pressing.
6) Glue Consumption: The sizing weight per square meter for each sizing layer in the production of corrugated board. Units are expressed in grams per square meter.
7) Fine corrugated: also known as micro-corrugated, including E, F, G, N, O and other types of corrugated, corrugated board is thin, good stiffness, generally used to produce sales packaging carton.
8) Coarse corrugated paper: including A, B, C, K and other types of corrugated board, corrugated board thicker, good cushioning, high compressive strength, suitable for the production of transport packaging cartons.
9) single-faced corrugated cardboard: single face corrugated paperboard also known as pit cardboard, a layer of corrugated corrugated cardboard and a layer of liner paper bonded together.
10) Single corrugated cardboard: single wall board Corrugated cardboard made from two layers of cardboard and one layer of corrugated paper.
11) Double corrugated cardboard: Double wall board consists of two layers of cardboard, two layers of corrugated paper and one layer of medium corrugated cardboard.
12) Three-wall corrugated cardboard: triple wall board consists of two layers of cardboard, three-layer corrugated paper and two-layer medium paper.
13) Paper: roll width refers to the width of the web.
14) Cut length: The length of the cardboard cut out by the tile length cutting machine is called the cut length.
Third, equipment terms
1) Base Paper Holder: The base paper holder is used to load roll paper so that the paper roll can be easily and smoothly bonded to corrugated board through the corrugating roll and the linerboard paper under the action of pulling force. The structure of the base paper holder is relatively simple. It mainly includes a frame, a lifting device, a tension control device, a clutch, a paper web correction, and a loading and unloading paper roll.
2) Preheater: Also called the preheat roll, it is an important part of the single-sided machine. It preheats the base paper before it enters the corrugating roll to facilitate molding and bonding.
3) Corrugating machine: also called pit machine. The corrugated paper is pressed into corrugated corrugated paper and attached to the surface and the paper. The equipment is mainly composed of upper and lower corrugating rollers, heating devices, regulating systems, and anti-rolling paper guide claws.
4) Pre-regulator: Reheat the single-faced corrugated board or base paper, and spray steam to adjust the moisture of the paper.
5) Corrugating roller: Corrugating roller is a "mold" for corrugating and is a key part of a single-sided machine. It consists of upper and lower corrugating rollers. Generally, the position of the lower corrugating roller is fixed, and the upper corrugating roller applies a certain pressure to the lower corrugating roller by spring, air pressure or oil pressure.
6) Pressure roller: Apply a certain pressure (0.4-0.5 MPa) on the facing paper and corrugated paper on the tip to make them firmly fit together to form a single-faced corrugated paper.
7) Paper Guide: A half-moon plate-like structure made of phosphor bronze material on a pit machine. The function of the paper guide board is to peel the corrugating medium paper which has been rolled into a corrugated shape from the upper corrugating roll and attach it to the tooth surface of the lower corrugating roll without being thrown off by the centrifugal force of the corrugating roll so that the glue can be applied. When the roller applies adhesive to the dome, the position of the corrugated cardboard is guided.
8) Vacuum adsorption device: Its role is to replace the paper guide, so that the corrugated paper is completely attached to the lower corrugating roller, so that the corrugation peak can get a uniform amount of glue, which is more conducive to improving the quality of the corrugated paperboard.
9) Transport bridge: also known as flyover. The single corrugated cardboard coming out of the corrugating machine is used for conveying and temporary accumulation. After passing through the bridge and buffering, it enters into the paste machine for double-sided bonding.
10) Paper trolley: Located on the operation side of the pit machine or the paste machine, it moves the original paper from the holding vehicle to the small conveyor platform at the base of the paper holder.
11) Automatic Binding Machine: Equipment for automatic paper change of tile paper roll.
12) Coater: It is also called paste machine. It is mainly composed of a pair of rubberized rollers and two scraping rollers, as well as a storage tank and a pressure adjustment system. Its role is to apply a layer of glue to both sides of the corrugated corrugated paper evenly and in an appropriate amount, and to stick it together with the core paper or tissue paper.
13) Multiple preheater (double, triple, etc.): The device that heats the face paper or medium paper coming from the single-sided corrugated paper conveyed from the bridge and the base paper holder is usually two or three groups. Hot cylinders are vertically formed.
14) Bonding dryer: A device for drying corrugated cardboard after double-sided lamination. Including hot plates, conveyor belts and transmission systems.
15) Single-side machine: The equipment that presses corrugated paper into a sigmoid shape and fits with board paper. It consists of a base paper holder, corrugating roller, pressure roller, preheating roller, glue applicator, pneumatic device, guide blade and vacuum adsorption. Equipment and other components.
16) Double-sided machine: It consists of a hot roller, a hot plate, a gluing machine, a canvas belt, a triple preheating wheel, and a suction blower, and is collectively called a double-sided machine.
17) Slitting and creasing machine: The device that trims, slits, and presses the cardboard in a certain size.
18) Separation tray: It is located behind the slitting and indentation machine and plays the role of supporting the cardboard after slitting.
19) Cross-cutting machine: Also known as cut-off machine, it is a machine that cuts the longitudinally slit paperboard horizontally according to certain specifications.
20) Conveyor: A stacker that transports paperboard that has been slit and cut into a certain size (L*B) to the rear stacker.
21) Stacker: Automatic stacking of corrugated cardboard produced by tile lines.
22) Main drive: The main drive system including the main motor.
23) Paper Edge Crusher: Collects the cut corner waste and crushes it for processing.
24) Pasteurizer: A system for the preparation of corrugated cardboard adhesives.
25) Steam heating system: It mainly heats corrugated roller, pressure roller, preheating roller and other components. Current heating methods include steam heating, liquefied gas heating, oil heating, and electric heating.
26) Compressed Air System: There are many pneumatic components on the tile line. The compressed air system is the device that provides pneumatic power.
27) Electrical Control System: The main control system of the production line (including the speed coordination of single-side machines, the coordination of wet and dry departments, etc.).
28) Wet Department: refers to the equipment in tile line equipment that involves heating, squeezing, gluing, and other equipment, including the base paper tray, pit machine, paste machine, paper bridge, presetter and other equipment.
29) Cadre: Refers to the equipment for drying, slitting, and stacking cardboard in tile line equipment, including dryers, slitting lines, cross cutting machines, stacking machines, etc.
30) Separator: A machine that slits the corrugated cardboard and performs the vertical pressure line.
31) Clash machine: Machine for horizontally pressing lines on corrugated board.
Fourth, quality testing term
1) Dimensional error: The size exceeds the error range specified by the customer or the national standard.
2) High and low levels: High corrugation fluctuations and uneven board thickness, with the difference being out of tolerance.
3) Surface wrinkles: Creases on the surface of corrugated board that can cause printing defects.
4) Collapse: The corrugation is crushed by external forces.
5) Inadequate bonding: Adhesion strength is not enough. Corrugated board is easy to open because of weak adhesion between layers of paper.
6) Insufficient ration: The total amount of cardboard is less than the specified standard.
7) The hardness is not enough: the water content of the board is too large or the physical properties of the raw materials are low, resulting in the low compressive strength and edge pressure strength of the corrugated board.
8) De-pit: Also called false-stick, the finger-to-tile paper is not really bonded, showing that the two can be easily separated and the paper layer is not damaged after separation.
9) Skew: The pressure line or beer line is not parallel or perpendicular to the pit, the skew of the large box does not exceed 3 turns, and the skew of the small box does not exceed 2 turns.
10) Insufficient material: Corrugated cardboard has more cardboard than corrugated paper.
11) Lucy (pit): Corrugated cardboard corrugated paper exceeds cardboard.
12) Warpage: In the production of corrugated board, variations in the moisture content of the base paper, improper operation, and environmental changes may cause unevenness in the production of paperboard.
13) seesaw phenomenon: refers to the finished corrugated cardboard, in the surface of the paper along the peak and the back of the peak between the back of the concave phenomenon, the shape of the home like a general washboard, also known as scorpion.
14) Foaming: Partial appearance of corrugated paper and corrugated paper cannot be achieved.
15) Indentation is shallow: when the corrugated cardboard is pressed horizontally, the pressure line is shallow due to the pressure being too small, and the flap is difficult to bend.
16) Cardboard Burst: When the corrugated paperboard after crimping is bent, the pressure line breaks, mainly due to the fact that the paperboard is too dry, the surface/inside paper has poor folding resistance, and the pressure line is not properly handled.
